[bigletter custom_class=””]First thing you need to do is to size your strips to your nail. Being organized is important. I actually have small nail beds and I could use the petite but I choose to keep the grown folk ones but more on that later!

Remember for best results make sure they are at room temperature. Of course I made a video. Its a good idea to start with your pinkie not your thumbs. Those fingers really work for you and should be last.

Easy Application
Clean nails before application to remove any oils or lotions.
Use immediately after opening
Remove clear cover.
Select the size nail polish strips that best fit your nails.
application do’s
Store & use nail strips at room temperature and handle with warm hands. Nail strips may become more pliable in the heat and more rigid in the cold.
Use immediately after opening — nail strips will begin to dry once they are exposed to air.
Clean and prep nails before application — buff and file nails, push back cuticles, and use a prep pad to remove any oils or lotions.
Remove the clear film that covers the strips before application.
Apply thumbs last — start with pinky and work toward thumb.
Stretch gently for a perfect fit — stretch horizontally to make the strip wider, or stretch vertically to make the strip narrower.
Hold the strip in the middle instead of all the way at the end for a more controlled application.
Crease the strip over the nail edge before removing excess with your nail or nail file.
application don’ts
Do not leave nail strips in excessive heat or cold for prolonged periods of time. Do not leave strips under direct sun or LED lighting.
Do not apply lotion to hands immediately before or after application.
Do not apply strips over cuticles or skin. Push back cuticles and apply strips against or slightly above cuticle, so the strip adheres directly to the nail only.

When it comes to the excess nail strip at the end of my nail, I use my thumbs to perforate and tear the strip away. I find that tip wear is minimized doing this because the end of my nail is covered with the nail strip. Color Street nail strips are 95% dry when they are packaged, so like ALL nail polish they shrink a minuscule amount when fully dry.
When I get to my thumbs when doing my nails, I use an orange stick to perforate the excess. Because the polish isn’t completely dry and “set,” there’s been a time or 2 a thumb nail got slightly smudged when using it for the other thumb.
After finishing my nails, I go over them again with the alcohol prep pad to make sure the edges are properly adhered. If there is any excess on my skin around my nails, I just use the orange stick to perforate it and tear it away.

[dropcap custom_class=”whbr”]We get why people would be outraged from a certain view, but we also think at least some of these designers are in on the joke. Maybe the only question is what exactly the punchline is. Then again, when you think about it the entire world of high fashion is taking something mundane (clothing; we all have to wear it), and turning it into coveted and cutting-edge luxury items.[/dropcap]

Mike Rowe, host of Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs, entered into the world online fashion critic earlier this year when he discovered a pair of $425 jeans on sale at Nordstrom’s from the brand PRPS. He positioned them as another volley in “our country’s War on Work.” He continued, “They’re not even fashion. They’re a costume for wealthy people who see work as ironic – not iconic.” Fair point. Really though we were also a bit offended that DSquared2 already did the whole purposefully muddied jeans a few years ago. In fact, Gwen Stefani was spotted wearing the originals when she first started dating Blake Shelton. See, there are occasional situation in which a high fashion-meets-down home country boy aesthetic really.
People were absolutely astounded, at least in between that time that they read the Tweet or headline and when they actually go to the details, that Prada was selling a $150 “paper clip.” In reality, of course, it was a sterling silver money clip shaped like a paper clip (and when you really think about it, all clips really do the same thing). $150 is a lot for a paper clip, but it’s actually not that eye boggling when you look at other high-end money clips.
What do you think?
