The Transformation Journey

[bigletter I am hoping that seeing this dramatic weight loss will help you get inspired to start your own weight loss journey.[/bigletter]

Part of the reason I am so passionate about Keto is because it simply works!…

Prior to discovering Keto, I was on the path to health problems. I had my third child and I was experiencing joint pain that after 6 months of having him was not going away. It was hard for me to go up and downstairs as well as walk to my cubicle from my car.

[dropcap custom_class=”bl”]I did what everyone else did I looked on the internet searching for answers. It is not like I am not able to ask people around me but if they are thin I don’t think they could relate and then they are doing things that I can’t do like maybe marathons etc. Or they just don’t know because they currently in the struggle. So when I was on the internet and I saw real people transform I had to dig deeper. Why were these people able to transform on the THIS diet and NOT others? Why did the other diets not work?  Ahh, so there is the deep part I had to dig deep to understand the why? Why didn’t the other plans work? So I got honest.

  • I was hungry
  • The results were too slow
  • I didn’t feel like it was working
  • I felt like I was sacrificing too much
  • [/dropcap]

  • I like having fun
  • I think being healthy is boring
  • It won’t work
  • I don’t look that bad
  • It’s expensive
  • I really don’t have time

[row cols_nr=”2″][col size=”6″]

Did I really want to give up all things I enjoy to do a diet that MIGHT not work?

[/col][col size=”6″]

Do I have to sacrifice time with my family and fun to do this diet? Why would I want to do that? I love blackberry cobbler?!

[pullquote align=”right” style=”style4″ width=”381″ size=”14″ line_height=”18″ bg_color=”#ffffff” txt_color=”#222222″][blockquote custom_class=”” txt_color=”#222222″ size=”25″ line_height=”32″]I ultimately decided to try keto because when I went to the doctor and they were going to prescribe me medicine based on early arthritis and then i had to go to physical therapy I asked very casually ” what would happen if I would lose weight? Could I feel better? He said yes

So now it was not about me missing all the food I was fighting for my ability to be able to walk and not need a cane or walking at a pace like everyone else.

[dropcap custom_class=”bl”]Now I have to admit my journey on Keto has not been a straight path. I lost weight then had another kid, then I was tired then got on bad habits again. I lost all the weight and then I would lose my job or then the pandemic, etc, etc. I did learn throughout this that I did find that Keto worked if I kept my mindset together. . If you notice with all my pictures that how I celebrate is through food and drink and that is how I cope when I am upset or anxious or anything. So again I had another question which is more of the same question as earlier.[/dropcap]

What if whatever happened in my life I was able to keep my eye on the prize? What if I was that determined? I mean you are talking about someone who would get on the scale and if I gained weight I would go right back to bed and not work out, so what if I decided to change???

Could I find other ways to celebrate or cope with life without using food as my comfort?

I needed to change in order for this diet/lifestyle to work and I learned about my triggers and trying to avoid them. Now I have gotten so good that whatever comes at me I can handle and I don’t eat. If I do eat I eat pecans. Now when I treat myself I have ice cream which I happen to love keto ice cream.

[bigletter custom_class=””]It started being a game about when I would go out could I make the food Keto? Could I only order food that was low carb and I found MOST of the time I could. .[/bigletter]

[pullquote align=”left” style=”style3″ width=”381″ size=”16″ line_height=”18″ bg_color=”#fa777c” txt_color=”#ffffff”][blockquote custom_class=”” txt_color=”#ffffff” size=”25″ line_height=”32″]There is bbq sauce without sugar and sashimi (sushi no rice), and I started to like Brussel sprouts! Yes, my taste buds changed![/blockquote][/pullquote]

Now I still celebrate holidays and with turkey and dressing and have coleslaw or my mom’s potato salad but the next day I am right back on it, and I also take something like Prime D that gets my right back in Ketosis- so I don’t beat myself up about and I don’t go crazy like the cookie monster. I mean how can I tell my 3 kids no to a great breakfast in bed!

I hope this helps you to understand a bit of my journey. I am serious about my goals but I don’t like that to stop me from living life. Life is not all about everything I am eating and what I eat can be healthy and being healthy is pretty fun.
